The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could be released by Qualcomm a little earlier than normal.

The end of the year has historically been when Qualcomm releases its flagship chipsets, generally with a press conference in Hawaii in the first week of December. The Snapdragon 888 debuted on December 1 of last year, the Snapdragon 865 wasn't made public until December 4 of this year, and the Snapdragon 865 was revealed on December 1 of the previous year. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, however, may be released a few weeks earlier than usual, according to recent disclosures from Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could be released by Qualcomm a little earlier than normal.

The chipmaker posted information about its next Snapdragon Summit on its website (via GSMArena). Despite the item being removed, the three-day event is still scheduled to occur between November 14 and 17, according to screenshots. If all goes as planned, Qualcomm will likely unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at least two weeks sooner than usual.

Because Qualcomm typically doesn't publicize events this early, it appears that the business didn't intend to reveal any information on the summit just yet. Just how reliable can we be in relying on those dates?

All things considered, the release date is not nearly as confusing as the chipset itself. According to earlier rumors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 would have four distinct CPU islands, making it more complex than the 8 Gen 1 in terms of design. Eight cores in four clusters (1+2+2+3) will allegedly be provided by a single Cortex-X3 core, a pair of A720 cores, two A710 cores, and three A510 cores. A Cortex-X2 prime core, three Cortex-A710s, and four low-power Cortex-A510s are all present in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in a 1+3+4 configuration.
