On schedule, Motorola recently released the Moto Tab G62, its newest low-cost tablet. India was the first country to receive the brand-new slate, and gradually it will reach other countries as well. It is a budget tablet with a $201 beginning price.
Despite being a cheap tablet, it is made of metal and features a 10.6-inch LCD with 2,000 x 1,200 pixels of resolution and substantial bezels all around it. One camera is located in the corner of the two-toned rear. Onboard fingerprint unlocking is not available, although the design is water-repellent. Dolby Atmos audio is played over a four audio system.
The tablet has a cheap Snapdragon 680 SoC from Qualcomm inside, with a single memory configuration of 4GB/64GB, although it can be expanded by up to 1TB with a microSD card. Out of the box, Android 12 will boot.
The gadget only has two cameras: an 8MP front camera for video calls and an 8MP primary camera with a wide 118° field of view. A USB C connector that supports 20W rapid charging is used to recharge the 7,700 mAh battery.
Only one colour option and LTE and Wi-Fi only versions of the Motorola Moto Tab G62 will be offered. Priced at $201 for the WiFi-only model and $226 for the LTE model, respectively. The tablet should start shipping to other areas in the coming months.
