ChatGPT-Like Chatbot is Unveiled by LinkedIn Cofounder's New AI Startup
Inflection AI, a new AI startup founded by the creator of LinkedIn, introduces a ChatGPT-like chatbot.
First AI chatbot product to be released by new AI startup Inflection AI, founded by Mustafa Suleyman, a former Deepmind researcher, and Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn.
Inflection's AI chatbot Pi engages users through conversations in which they can ask questions and discuss shared interests, much like the well-known chatbot ChatGPT.
The Pi chatbot is built on prioritising human interactions with a high level of emotional intelligence, claims Inflection AI. The technology, according to AI, was developed in-house.
The CEO and co-founder of Inflection, Mustafa Suleyman, says that "we think of Pi as a digital companion on call whenever you want to learn something new when you need a sounding board to talk through a tricky moment in your day, or just pass the time with a curious and kind counterpart."
Pi offers a number of ways for users to get in touch with it, including a website, an app, and social media platforms like Instagram.According to its terms of service, Pi uses user data, including conversational content, to train its AI algorithms. Inflection claims that the last time their database was updated was in November 2022, when it was last connected to the internet.
The market for chatbots using generative AI technology has grown congested since OpenAI's ChatGPT initially surfaced in November of last year. using chatbots, such as Google's Bard and Character, big language models, which mine enormous quantities of text, to produce content and summarise information. AI can be used by people to have in-depth conversations for both personal and business reasons.
Hoffman is a partner at the VC firm Greylock, which supported Inflection and handled a US$250 million investment. Due to potential conflicts with the AI companies he works with, Hoffman, who also sits on the board of Microsoft, announced his resignation from the OpenAI board in March.
